Public Relations, Media Inquiries, Advertising:

The Marketing & Communications Department provides the following services to on-campus as well as off-campus constituents: public relations, media inquiries, advertising, faculty references for media, faculty references for speaking engagements, community relations, information on campus services, crisis communications, and guidelines for campus departments on University practices regarding media and advertising. Conferences and Events on Campus:

The Marketing & Communications Department provides on-campus and off-campus constituents with support in utilizing the University's physical resources for conferences and events. The department’s Office of Conference and Event Services manages the use of campus facilities, dining, multimedia, and housing to serve the educational, organizational, and recreational needs of the regional conferencing market.

Campus Departmental Publication Design, Graphic Arts, Graphic Standards:

The Marketing & Communications Department also provides graphic arts and design services to on-campus constituents for the creation of University printed materials, including but not limited to advertising, brochures, catalogs, calendars, posters, and related materials for University programs and activities. The department also provides University graphic identity guidelines for all campus departments.

University Publications Planning, Writing, Editing, Publishing:

The Marketing & Communications Department also provides editorial services for all campus departments, including but not limited to copy writing, editing, proofing, and managing print publications. The editorial services personnel in the department work closely with the graphic design personnel to coordinate campus publication planning, designing, printing and delivery services. Editorial services include content management of the University’s external publications as well as campus departmental publications. The "Marywood University "Editorial Standards Guide" provides rules and style standards for use in all written content generated by or on behalf of Marywood University.

Marketing & Communications Department Management:

The Marketing & Communications Department provides University-wide strategic marketing planning and execution to support the vision, mission, and core values of Marywood University. The department specifically supports the objectives and activities of the university's Strategic Plan in the service of key University constituents-prospective students, alumni, donors, parents, grants organizations, current students, administrators, faculty, staff, and the general public. The department also serves as a resource and a guide to key constituent groups for consistent, effective, and timely internal and external communications in the advancement of the University's goals.
