General Information
The Biweekly Challenge Problems are sponsored by SEMI-Group, the Student Mathematics Club of Marywood University and the Department of Mathematics. Each biweekly challenge problem will be posted on this webpage as well as on bulletin boards around campus. This challenge is open to all Marywood undergraduate students.
Answers to the challenge problems should be submitted to Dr. Thomas Kent (Science Center, Room 318, ext. 2278) by the deadline set in each challenge. The first correct answer (with appropriate justification) wins a cash prize of $10. Others who submit correct answers will have their names published on this page unless requested otherwise.
At the end of each academic year (May), a grand prize will be awarded to the person that wins the most biweekly challenges that year. Ties will be broken by the time of submission, overall quality of the mathematical presentations in the submitted answers judged by the faculty of the Department.
