All students at Marywood University are required to use the same form for doing lesson plans. The form can be downloaded from this page and used on your home computer. Some students have reported problems downloading the lesson plan from this page. It will work best if you have Microsoft Word on your computer. If you have a problem, please e-mail the Curriculum Lab Coordinator at currlab@marywood.edu, we can e-mail the form to you. If you should experience any problems opening the file on your computer please contact Marywood's computer help desk at 570-340-6070.
***IMPORTANT***
When typing on the lesson plan template make sure that you TAB through the fields, do not hit enter repeatedly. Do not keep typing, thinking that the words will "wrap" like they do on a regular word document, they will not. You need to tab or click with your mouse into the next field if you want the lesson plan to print out correctly. Depending upon your computer, operating system, software, preferences, printer settings, etc., the appearance of this template may vary. The Templates are also available on all of the computers in the Curriculum Lab where you may download them to a flash drive.
***Please notice each Lesson Plan Template has an (rtf) or a (doc) after it. The (doc) means the Lesson Plan Template was created and saved in Microsoft Word and can be opened in Microsoft Word. The (rtf) means the Lesson Plan Template was created in Microsoft Word but saved as a "rich text format" to enable the file to open in word processing programs other than Microsoft Word. If you are using a word processor other than Microsoft Word you may want to try using the Template labeled as (rtf).***
VERY IMPORTANT--DO NOT DO YOUR LESSON DIRECTLY IN THE TEMPLATES ON THE WEB PAGE. DOWNLOAD THEM TO YOUR HARD DRIVE OR A FLASH DRIVE FIRST. IF YOU DO THE LESSON DIRECTLY ON THE WEB PAGE IN THE TEMPLATES IT WILL NOT BE SAVED. YOU CAN NOT WORK "LIVE" ON-LINE AND EXPECT YOUR WORK TO BE SAVED. BEFORE TYPING ANY INFORMATION INTO A TEMPLATE BE SURE TO SAVE THE TEMPLATE FIRST. ALSO... THE TEMPLATES ARE ALL SAVED ON EACH OF THE COMPUTERS IN THE CURRICULUM LAB AND IN THE COMPUTER LABS IN MCGOWAN. THEY ARE IN "MICROSOFT WORD". DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE WEB PAGE'S TEMPLETS WHEN IN THE LAB. THE WEB PAGE HAS THE TEMPLATES FOR YOU TO USE, AT YOUR CONVENIENCE, AT HOME.
