Criminal Justice Programs at Marywood

Marywood offers two degrees in Criminal Justice: a Bachelor's degree, in the context of an excellent liberal arts education, and a Master's degree.

Marywood's undergraduate Criminal Justice program provides a solid foundation in the basics of criminal justice: law enforcement, criminal law and the courts, corrections, and criminology. Minors are available in General Forensics and Forensic Accounting. Specialized courses in criminal investigation, delinquency, probation and parole, prisons, and other topical areas are offered as well.

A special Marywood feature is the optional five-year Master's Degree offered to qualified Marywood undergraduates. This permits students to complete their Master's Degree in only one year, following completion of Marywood's four-year Bachelor's program.

The 36 credit graduate Master's degree program provides a strong background in criminal justice coupled with the skills required for a management position.

The curriculum draws on a faculty with strong academic credentials and substantial experience working in criminal justice agencies.

Marywood is the only University within 150 miles to award both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Classes are small, allowing students to develop close, working relationships with program faculty
and their fellow students.
