Overview

The Coordinated Program (CP) combines the traditional four years of didactic study and a fifth year of supervised practice into a four-year program. Students who complete the CP earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and are eligible to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians after graduation. Students apply for the accelerated program during the second semester of their sophomore year. The program begins in the Fall of his / her junior year. Graduate students who meet the criteria are also eligible to apply. Students are prepared to enter the job market as entry-level dietitians, attend graduate school, or pursue other career options. The CP requires 63 credits in nutrition and dietetics courses. Specific science and math courses are necessary to meet accreditation standards.

The Marywood Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics is currently granted accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of The American Dietetic Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL 60606, 312/899-5400.
