Career Day

Each year, the English Department invites several people to campus to discuss how their degree in English has aided them in the work world. In recent years, lawyers, professors, editors, publishers, business people, and secondary teachers have come to chat with us.

After hearing how people put their English degree to work in earning a living, many English majors are pleasantly surprised to learn the versatility and diversity of skills that they are acquiring in pursuing their degree.
